Summary: Not for the thinking gamer
Comment: First, do not confuse this game with Tactics Ogre. They are both made by the same company, both have 'Ogre' in the title, and both cost about the same on Amazon. Tactics Ogre is one you want to buy, not this garbage.

The gameplay goes like this... you control multiple units on a world map. You can attack enemy units, occupy towns, or head straight for the scenario goal. If you always head straight for the mission goal, you will beat the game in less than 10 hours. I know, because that's what I did, and after that I never touched the game again. Honestly, playing this game felt like a chore, sort of like watching my laundry in the washing machine.

Game combat is simplistic. When one of your units encounters an enemy unit, it brings up a combat screen, sort of like early Final Fantasy (the first three). However, that is a tease, since all you do is watch. You don't enter battle commands. Sound fun? Maybe if you prefer watching games to playing them. The only tactical thing about this game is choosing the right time to fight, since you don't participate in the fights at all. Story wise, it wasn't special, so don't buy it for the plot either. The multiple endings thing is all a big riff on a single ending, depending on which characters are in your party at the end.

Basically, this is an extremely simple rpg game I'd recommend to beginners (as in children 7-12 years old), but nothing an adult would enjoy.

Comment: An interesting game, but a better weekend rent than a purchase. It gets way too predictable once you get to be a decent player.

Summary: One of the best Strategy RPG's ever
Comment: This game is responsible for me losing more sleep than almost any other. This game really isn't for everyone though. It's more of a passive RPG, you don't personally go out and do the fighting (you can, it's just not a good idea), you send out constructed units of troops to do the fighting with the enemy units. Terrain, weight, time of day and equipment all play a part in moving and battles. While you can not directly influence the course of the individual battles, you can decide which troops go to either the front or back rows (different attacks depending on the row), and decide what the unit will aim for (attack the strongest, weakest, leader or best). You can support them with Tarot cards (single use magic spells) that you pick up by liberating cities. All in all, one of the most innovative and all around fun games I've ever played, and it got improved for the Playstation. Worth practically whatever you have to pay for it.

Summary: What the heck?...
Comment: I bought this game thinking it would be great beyond preportions, but it actually is quite the opposite and is very old. Before writing this review ,I'm going to tell you that I didn't want to believe some of the reviews that hindered this game's reputation. So I still bought the game thinking that it was going to be great(costly mistake.)

For one, you don't fight in this game. It's like any rpg game, but it is simulated. Just think about going through a huge game that the battle's are simulated for you. The graphics are the lowest imaginable. You push your characters into battle like chess, and you have a random chance of doing well. The only thing you control are Tarot cards, which have various affects on the enemy and yourself. The strategy is very simple and not really worth calling strategy. If you want to buy an Ogre game, buy Ogre Tactics. It is a very excellent game, and is worth the huge time span. This game isn't worth the time, you'll never care to finish the first "levels" once youv'e started playing it. Yes, all it is "levels." You have to play levels in sequence and you don't have control where you go. I hope that you listen to this review, and not to any silly person that may think it is good. Personally, I can only believe a person would put a good review for this game if they were payed to do so.

Summary: Awesome
Comment: This game is the remake of the old snes classic. It is so much better than the old snes version. In this remake, the graphics were improved and new characters were added. This game will give you hours of entertainment.
