Customer Rating: Summary: A Wario Game Comment: This game is easy in general but sometimes there is a difficult boss battle. For me the fun part is the levels where you are just looking for the frog-headed thing and beating up the enimies in your way. The settings are sometimes dreary even though the game is mainly for younger gamers. That doesnt ruin the experience though. Overall, this is an exciting game that stays fun for a long time.
Customer Rating: Summary: IF YOU WANT THE BEST GBA GAME EVER EVER EVER!!!!! Comment: THIS GAME IS THE BEST GAME EVER, it is kinda puzzling at times but FUN FUN FUN
GET THIS GAME!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: ok... not what i expected Comment: i bought this game because i collect mario games . It wasn't really what i expected, but proved to be a fungame. Some parts of the game are kinda confusing, but you get through them. If you like classic mario games, this isn't one for you. If you like sidescrolling, wario, sorta puzzle games, this game is great. The bosses are pretty unique and some are pretty hard to beat. Over all, a fun wario game.
Customer Rating: Summary: A great action/puzzle combo Comment: I am not much of a fan of puzzle games, but WL4 combines elements of mario-style platform gaming and puzzle games in a very fun way, it's one of my favorite games and I think it shows that 2D video games are not dead.
The game starts with a short training stage which familiarizes you with all of Wario's moves. Wario has a wide range of moves (he can pick up and throw objects, roll down hills, stomp, jump, run, dash, and duck). The trick of this game is figuring out where to use these moves to get you to hidden parts of the game.
Each level has 4 jewel pieces you must find. You have unlimited time to explore the level until you find a timer. When you start the timer, you have to rush back to the beginning of the stage before time runs out. When you hit the timer, different blocks become activated/deactivated, which completely changes the layout of the level (making you take a different route back to the beginning of the stage.) This is usually the most frantic and action-packed part of each level, as sometimes you still have jewel pieces to find in the newly opened areas.
The levels are huge and very cleverly designed. You can blow right through them or get lost exploring all the hidden areas. Each level has unique aspects to the environment, which Wario can take advantage of. It's a lot of fun trying to uncover every hidden area, which really ups the replay value.
Also, in each stage there are at least one or two puzzle areas, which is a sort of optionall mini game where you must figure out how to get a diamond using Warios moves and the stages environmental elements. These stages are practically a game withtin themselves. You don't even have to play them, but again, it really helps the replay value of the game.
Fans of the earlier Wario land games might not like the inclusion of an energy meter in this game. In the earlier games, you couldn't die. In WL4, I think it makes the game more intense and makes you play more carefully, as if you lose all your energy in one level, you must start all over again.
The graphics are colorful and detailed, the sound is great. There's a lot of good video game music in this game, and the music is dynamic to what Wario is doing (e.g., if he is ducking, the music slows down, if he is dizzy, the music sounds atonal and crazy)
If you like the Mario games, this is a change of pace from them in a way, but will be familiar enough to get around. This is a great action-puzzler, and one of nintendo's best games.
Customer Rating: Summary: Wario's Back! Comment: The fat, lazy, ugly, greedy ol' villian Wario is back! In one of his best, newest games ever, he travels to an ancient pyramid to make as much money as he can get. Insane levels, wacky worlds, and hideous bosses define this game as Wario's second best, next to the Wario Ware series. Some amazingly original ideas for levels will take you aback. I can't explain the gameplay, so I won't try. Just get this game. I bought it. YOU CAN TOO!
