Comment: Basically what the tidle says. It will save once in a while, but never will load the saves. Not worth the shipping to rma.

Summary: PSone memory cards in the PS2 slim model in detail
Comment: With the introduction of the PS2 slim model, came the controversy of which old PSone memory cards still worked in the latest reinvisionment. Not many rest assured, making our search for compatable cards an issue. The Sony brand PSone memory cards however DO work quite well. Another problem you'll face (which would otherwise be a minor issue except that your choice for memory has been reduced on top of things) is in the size of PSone memory cards themselves. Spanning a little over just 260 kb in total space (or 15 blocks) it won't take very much to max out a card. Unfortunately this means that if your into hardcore gaming with PSone titles, and own the PS2 slim model, you'll need to carry 2 or more cards at all times. I recommend this brand to ensure there are no kinks and bugs that come with 3rd party memory cards, which create corrupt save data issues, and also because they make your search for cards that DO work on the slim model easier. If not for those two major reasons however, I would have knocked the rating down to a 2 or 3!

Comment: I didn't think this was a bad storage system, but it wasn't that great either. 15 blocks is NOT NEARLY ENOUGH to hold all that a regular gamer will want to save. In fact I have 4 memory cards now!
When you play games like Madden 1998-2002 then you NEED more space. Some sports game take up 2-15 spaces of memory on one card! Are you telling me that you're going to settle for that?
Think about it for a moment. If you play some games then its easy, one block. But what about some of the RPGers who may have a favorite boss fight? Or the Action/Adventure gamers who have a favorite level or part of the game? What about the sports gamers who have to save up to the entire memory card?
I'm not saying you must buy this, but I'm not saying avoid it either. It is a must-have accessory for the original Playstation, or for anyone wanting to play PS1 games on their PS2. But if you buy this memory card, you'll have to buy plenty more where that came from.
