Summary: Best Surfing Game
Comment: This is the best surfing game ever. Which, we all have to admit, is not the greatest accomplishment and and of itself. It is, however, still a fun game. There are around a dozen real-world waves, each modeled to look like the real thing. There are scores of moves for each surfer, and a fair amount of unlockables - outfits, boards, beaches.
This is not a simulator (go do the real thing if you want to be a "surfer"). As previous reviews have stated, think Tony Hawk on the water. The waves last forever, but there are a few closeout sections that need to be navigated.
Graphics have held up pretty well since there are essentially only two objects - the surfer and the wave. Sound effects are typical for this genre: generic splashes during moves and screams of terror upon a wipeout . Music is great and I never got tired of it. Ranges from trance to reggae to rock. All very appropriate.
Very worth looking into especially given the prices of used xbox games.

Comment: I like surfing better than skating and this delivers. The graphics and controls are pretty sweet and there are tons of unlockables. If you like surfing this game is awesome.

Comment: I never thought I would buy a surfing game -- being from New York city with no access to a surfboard let alone a wave. But I thought I would give this a try and I'm glad I did. There's enough complexity that it's got staying power, while being a relaxing game to play at the same time. The graphics are great and the controlls are well designed. If you're interested in playing something that doesn't involve killing, and has a sort of zen - you and the wave kinda vibe, then get this.

Summary: Hands Down the BEST surfing game ever
Comment: I have been surfing over 15 years and have played just about every surfing game made. This one is BY FAR the best surfing game ever made. I got Transworld Surf and returned it the same day... pretty graphics... [BAD] surfing mechanics.I went to my surf buddy's house and played Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer and it rocked! It really FEELS like you are surfing, and the waves are spectacular. Someone mentioned having to save dolphins and wait to get money? That is the wrong game. This is all about surfing... surfing... surfing. You can do all the classic surfing moves and more. I was finally glad to have a game where you can do a decent off the lip / snap.
If you're into surfing, this is THE title to pick up. Rent it... if you like it... buy it... and maybe they'll put out some more.

Summary: They should've called it barbie game
Comment: First of all i didn't thnk this "game" is wort calling a game. i would have put no stars if this thing would let me. .. You don't even get to surf. all it is is saving dolphins. and there is a very long part in the game were you have to sit on a curb and wait for a guy to bring you some money. it took about 2 days for me to get past that part. ..I beat this gme in three days includng the time it took for that guy to bring me that money. do not buy this game. it is a waste of time, and money.if yo decide to by this game, you'll be regreting it for the rest of your life. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!
