Comment: Well, I got this game for my nephews and they loved it. During the hard parts, I'd take over the expedition. Ive never played the first pikmin and I know Im missing out but for now this game is pretty cool. Battles are painful, knowing you sacrafice your pikmin but in the end its worth it. I like that you can control olumar*mispelled* and louie so its easier to just send one dude to the exit/entrance in the hole while you dont have to risk killing your pikmin in the movement process. =,( Whats neat is that once you obtain 'certain items' you dont have to worry about killing enemies, locating treasure and picking your pikmin will be a breeze as blowing a whistle. ^_~ Its a pretty fun game once you get the hang of it and obtain the items. We beat the game in about 6 days but thats b/c we have no life. XD Nah, just kidding. Anywho, if you want to buy the game, it may look costly on amazon but on ebay its more expensive *last one went for $94.X-x* I think its a neat game. ^_^

Summary: I Love The Pikmin Series!!
Comment: I started out with the first game. The first one was decent and not a drag. When I found out they were making a 2nd Pikmin game I was excited. I rented it first. It was an excellent combination on pure fun and controls. I bought for the real deal, and still had fun. As other's say, "It's hard, and gets repetive". I didn't find the game like that. I actually thought the game was simple. Of course they could've erased some the caves from the game, but that was okay. Besides you can go to other websites and look at FAQs, for pikmin's sake. I really did think they added better controls to the sequel: throwing pikmin faster, two Capts., and the new addition of 2 new Pikmin colours. It was really fun to play endless hours of the game. And if you complete the game you can explore and roam freely. The day limitation made me smile, because the UNLIMITED DAYS make the game more easier. This game was fun + easy controls. 9.6/10.0

Comment: This game is as good as Zelda! The first one was not as good, but pikmin 1 is a tiny little bit fun. But trust me on this DO NOT BUY PIKMIN 1 IT IS BAD. BUY PIKMIN 2 BECAUSE.

It has new Purple and White pikmin,
No time limit. Plus the challenge mode is way better. DO NOT BUY PIKMIN 1 BUY PIKMIN 2 it's better then pikmin 1.

Comment: They look cute, but little Pikmin can beat up monsters pretty quickly. And number 2 is an incredibly good game.
There are many differences with the sequel that raise it to a higher level. In the first game your character, Olimar, had a time limit to dig up all the parts to his ship. The sequel has no time limit--you can spend as long as you want to dig up treasure to get your company out of debt. The two extra types of Pikmin also add many dimensions to the game. The purple Pikmin are heavyweight lifters and strong attackers. The white Pikmin are hidden treasure detectors and are poisonous.
Although the game starts off easy, the final levels are extremely challenging. The bosses are very tedious, especially near the end. However, this game has an incredible amount of depth, and you will probably play some levels over and over again just to get all the treasure.
Some parts of the game are difficult. Pikmin 2 makes selecting the Pikmin you want to throw easier, by letting you choose with the D-pad. However, you may have trouble selecting only certain colors of Pikmin to fulfill certain tasks. You are supposed to select the group you want to move with the B-button. If you press it, a ring will appear, calling out all the Pikmin within that ring. It gets tedious choosing only certain colors of Pikmin, especially if you want to have only the red (flame-retardant) Pikmin attack the fire-breathing monsters.
However, this is only a minor concern in a great game. It resembles a real-time strategy game, like Warcraft, but far cuter. It resembles Lemmings, but more elaborately task-oriented. Pikmin 2 is pretty unique. It isn't my favorite, but it's still very good.
