Customer Rating: Summary: What the? Comment: I got this game in hopes it would be somewhat like the movie. At first it was fun. Playing levels before the helicopters went down. But it started to get boring and the A.I. was just terrible. The enemies just stand there and let you shoot them. I though I had given up hope when there came the call,"Irene!". The call telling the soldiers they were going to battle. Your character goes into the battle in a humvee convoy. It got fun again for about five minutes when I ran into a huge glitch. At least I think it was a glitch. The game had been pretty buggy and glitchy before. So what happened was the game under objectives said go meet this such and such a guy. His name was like "Warlover46" or something like that. Since then I had gotten off the humvees. In the middle of the battle when there was people to be saved that were in the helicopters that crashed. It kept me running around meeting all these people with strange names. I started thinking somwhow Xbox Live was mixing with the campaign. There was no way to continue without meeting all these people. I met around 50-65 people before I gave up and sold the game back to Gamestop. Customer Rating: Summary: Better Games out there Comment: I don't play multiplayer shooters. So I only played this is single player mode. I thought this game was cumbersome, shifting weapons took too long. They equip you with a binocular but the bad guys only appear when you get closer. And most times they appear from out of no where. They just suddenly materialize! In the desert no less.
Mannig the Machinegun on top of the Humvee was kind of hokey, not very fun or very challenging.
If you own a PC and you can find it buy Operation Flashpoint, or if you have a newer PC buy Armed Assault. Customer Rating: Summary: black hawk down Comment: First of all,I know military games and to be blunt this one SUCKS!!!!! Not worth any amount of money.I would not accept this game if it was offered to me free.Sorry but that's the truth. It's a total waste of time and energy. Customer Rating: Summary: Decent Game But could Use Improvement Comment: I got this game for Christmas, seeing it was top price in stores I figured it must be a hell of a game. I had recently rented it from Blockbuster, and gotten far but then had to return it last summer. As soon as I got it I started playing it full shift like must people would intill I beat it. Then my friend came over and we played cooperative which only had about 5 levels to play on out of 20(except for death match). And on top of that when I was shooting my M16A2 with and M203 grenade launcher attchment. The bullet flash was not even coming out of the barrel it was coming out of the air! And if you look at and AK-47 when you kill a Somilian terrorist there guns don't have any triggers. The official guide does not have any either! I overall enjoy it! But I would maybe consider renting it first. Customer Rating: Summary: I enjoyed this game Comment: I don't care what many people on Amazon said about this game. I enjoyed it. Some parts (like the mine field) were irritating and difficult. Don't compare this to Halo (if that is what you are doing). Halo is a great game in it's own right. Everyone has a right to thier opinion and this is mine. There were some glitches, but it didn't take away how fun it is and how some parts made me think.
