Summary: Ok although not very good
Comment: Do not get this game! I am a huge fan of the far cry series and have most of the games I bought this game along with regular Far Cry Instincts and was very bored of this game in about 4 hours. The game is very short only like 10 levels and the levels are short to medium length with just a bunch of killing and really no point. If you have xbox live I highly sugest you dont get this game I have played it online only 3 times in the 5 months, because only 10 people play it like maybe once a month! So all in all very boring but if you want a quick game its alright. Also if you have friends to play with a lot it is very fun in split-screen me and my friends played it for hours on predator mode in split-screen the only really long fun is on split-screen so if you have friends and love to have super speed, strenght, vision in the dark, and love to stalk your friends and claw them down get this game.

Summary: Too buggy for a console game, but online play is ok
Comment: I'm not impressed. Graphics are good, but the game seems to overpower my XBox. It's frequently laggy during the heat of a battle, and the sound will cut in and out when too much is going on at once.
Video Problems: I can't stand when I'm fighting and then the controls freeze up and I'm watching enemies kill me. I could tolerate this if it happened only with online play, but this happens all the time during the Story mode.
Sound problems: It's very distracting when you are surrounded by enemies and suddenly all you hear is a droning beep sound... it usually goes away in 20 or 30 seconds, but the sound is painful nonetheless and detracts from the game.
If the game did not have bug and lag issues, then I would raise my rating to four stars. Story is good (mature - tons of violence, foul language and sex for concerned parents) and gameplay is good when system isn't lagging. This may play better on the more-powerful 360.
Online play is OK. Graphics aren't that hot when compared with Halo2, Battlefield Earth 2 or Call of Duty 2. What is nice is 1) map editor and 2) ease of selecting what game you would like to join.
FYI, my XBox was purchased in late-2004, and I have no issues with other games. It is not a first-year XBox, which were known to be buggy.

Summary: Play "Far Cry" 1&2 on Xbox Live!!!
Comment: Recommended...However, if you really want to experience this game at it's fullest, get on Xbox Live. Playing the first "Far Cry Instincts" & this new (really an expansion pack) 2nd "Far Cry Evolution" multiplayer online is the best way. These are probably my favorite Xbox Live games & actaully completely different games from the 1 player campaigns. You can make your own gaming maps (the "environments" or "arenas" you play in) & share them with other people out there. The maps the games come with are already good, but other players are very imaginative map-makers. The new game version provides quicker downloading of player-created maps & improved graphics, plus some new weapons & vehicles & nice new map features, like zip-lines... Some folks may tell you all you need is "Far Cry Evolution" but go ahead buy the first one as well if you play on Xbox Live. It's easier to find a good game session if you have both.

Summary: Part 2 is even better!
Comment: Ok, first of all I would like to say that this is an amazing game. It kind of picks up where you left of in the first one. Jack Carver is once again with a woman that gets him in trouble. I won't tell you the story cause I don't wanna ruin it. The graphics are still amazing, the water looks fantastic, once again. Unlike the first game, this one gives you your Feural Abilities at the beggining and now they are even more powerful. They added a few new weapons to the game like: Molotov Cocktails, Poisonous Darts and pipe bombs(with these you can take down the sniper towers). A few new cars are also added like heavy trucks and armored pickups, pirate sampan boats. The only thing that turned me down a little was the length of the game. You can easily finish it in one day, so that is why I didn't buy it, I rented it. So my advice to you is ,"Don't buy this game, rent it." Overall, I think it's a great game. That's why I gave it five stars.

Summary: Good But Short
Comment: Hello everyone, I gave this game 4 stars because I liked it and the storyline is good. the game is good its just like an expansion pack from the 1st one. Pretty much you just pick up where you left off. It has 14 levels of non stop action. I liked it alot but I purchased the game on the 29th of march and finished it on the 30th. It only lasts a few hours but if you really liked the 1st one I suggest you get this one too. Have Fun
