Customer Rating: Summary: Ice Age 2 GBA Very Very frustating game! Comment: I have Ice Age 1 - GBA and love it well I got Ice Age 2 - GBA right well just to tell you from an Autistic high functioning adult who's 21 my point of perspective on this game is a very very very extremely frustrating game! I love the graphic's and the game play but this is by far one of the most frustrating games I have in the GBA format.
This game has 5 different little area's in it to play the first area (WaterPark) has 8 levels in it I beat 6 out of 8.
The second area (Rocky Pass) has 8 levels I beat 4 out of 8.
The third area (Geyser Field) has 8 levels I beat 2 out of 8.
The fourth area (Forest) has 8 levels I beat 3 out of 8.
The fifth area (Ice Floes) has 7 levels I beat 0 out of 7.
Oh if you want to know how this game letted me pass (barely...) A. There are no passwords in this game like in Ice Age 1. This game is a SAYG for those of you who don't know that abbrevation it mean's (save as you go) and plus this game let's you skip as many levels as you want but me I tried and tried and tried over and over again to try and beat some of the levels on this game the only reason why I even skipped a couple levels here and there is because a couple of the levels were just plain to frustrating and too hard for me. Oh and you can go back and play the levels you skipped but I won't. No game is worth getting so frustrated to were you get a head ache trying to figure it out. Yes I got a head ache from trying to beat the level's in this game. Do your self a favor save your money unless you like extremely challenging and frustrating games. Oh and yes this game does have a time limit for each level when the time limit runs out two creatures will come on the screen make fun of you for how slow your going then ask you if you want to retry or skip the level.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not what I had expected Comment: I got the game simply because it came with my Gameboy Advance. I'm 18 years old, so it seems like this game would not appeal to me. However, I was instantly addicted. It is a pretty fun puzzle game, but I don't think it really fits for the target audience. I know my GA was previously owned by a smaller child, about 5 years old, and she couldn't really get past the first zone. If your looking for a brainteaser that will challenge you and keep you hooked, or just something to occupy your time in the bathroom, this is an OK cartridge to keep around.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fun game but not recommended for smaller children Comment: Although the movie is great for smaller children, I wouldn't recommend this game for younger kids. My daughter is almost 7 and has a hard time figuring out this game. Basically, it is mazes in which the 3 characters, Manny, Sid and Diego must manuver their way through obstacles in the maze to get to the next level. THe characters must work together and the player must switch between the characters to stop gushing geizers, swim through rivers, jump over canyons, etc. But after the first few levels, the game gets pretty hard for little ones. As an adult, I really like the game and find it challenging although I have had to look up a few hints. But it is too hard for the younger kids that the movie attracted. Would recommend this for ages 10 and up unless your child is particulary good with mazes.
Customer Rating: Summary: A difficult game... Comment: My 7 year old son got this game for his 8th birthday. He and his 6 year old brother played with it for about a month and they got stuck and gave up. I looked into it myself and I got as far as the 2nd level before I got stuck. I checked into the internet about this game and there were complaints about getting stuck in a level or they can't get around a particular spot or they can't find an item they need to collect. The graphics are real nice. Just like the movie. But it's a bit hard for some people in my opinion. I am selling it to replace it with some other game for the boys...
Customer Rating: Summary: Ice age 2: The meltdown Comment: The characters in Ice Age 2: The meltdown are cute, especially the sabetooth squirrel named Scrat. Very nice. Glad I bought it.
