Customer Rating: Summary: Mouse for Macbook Comment: I got this mouse for use with my macbook. I can say it feels very nice, works very well on games, and I have no complaints about the product at all.
It fits my hand just fine, doesn't seem to small or too big, and works on most any surface.
Customer Rating: Summary: No Visual Feedback for DPI Settings! Comment: The mouse is a little light for my taste, and many 'gaming' mice now have optional weights, which this one lacks.
But the big off-putting shortcoming for this mouse is the lack of a visual indicator showing the current DPI setting of the mouse. There are buttons to change the precision of the mouse on-the-fly, but you have no way of knowing what your current setting is, which makes this difficult to use in practice.
Although one nice aspect of this mouse is the ability to alter the USB polling rate, which is a feature only available on a handful of mice.
Unfortunately I found that with this mouse plugged in I had problems with my G15 keyboard during the pre-OS POST - it would refuse to detect the G15 as detected until it booted to Windows. This was with the latest firmware.
There are better gaming mice out there. Razer needs to adopt some of the useful features of their competitors, and refine a few of the rough edges.
Customer Rating: Summary: The mouse that roars Comment: This computer Mouse lives up to it's ratings.
Good investment for a computer gamer.
Customer Rating: Summary: Upgrade drivers = No problems whatsoever Comment: I'm running Vista-64 installed the drivers that came with the mouse and i experienced skipping and jumping pointer. I was worried my mouse was going to die. This happened a few years ago with the last razer mouse i bought. Turns out one driver update and your mouse will run flawless. I'm really happy with it. Just make sure to update drivers after you install initial ones. Also i would disable the profile switch buttons unless you plan to change mouse speed often.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Mouse despite few Issues. Comment: I've owned this mouse(wraith red version), since it fist came out. Initial professional review sites praised its mousing abilities. My initial thoughts were how nice it looked and felt. Ergonomics were much different than the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer I've been using exclusively for years, however, I quickly became comfortable with the Lachesis and actually prefer it now. I also got the eXactMat with it. At first, the mouse would jump sporadically when using the "control" side of the mat... I turned the mat over to the "speed" side and almost all of the jumping/skipping problems were gone. The sensitivity of the mouse feels great and I love how smooth it feels. All of the buttons give a very responsive click and the roller wheel feels great. It still jumps/skips every once in a while but not enough to cause any problems. The accuracy of the mouse in gaming is excellent, to say the least. Razer did release newer firmware(although it had no effect on me). I also contacted their customer support at one time, and although they were friendly and helpful, they did not have any of the "wraith red" in stock to do an exchange at the time(offered me a blue, but I did not want). The software for this mouse is very substantial and allows you to change everything you could think of. Over-all I enjoy this mouse. Its negatives are highly outweighed by its positives, and this is coming from someone who never thought they would like a "Razer" mouse.
